What could be more perfect than a thoughtful, funny and happy birthday message? If you are reading this article, you probably are at least a bit humorous. For you, there is nothing that says “birthday” better than a birthday card with a cute little message. Be funny.
Giving a little home-spun advice in a birthday greeting is just as good as a professional birthday card. Make it lighthearted and funny. Not only will it make your birthday card extra special, but it will give your recipient a lot more to smile about. Don't try to be too serious about it.
Instead of giving a boring old-timey message about how much you love them, send a message that says something like “Happy Birthday to you…looks like your not having a good day.” That would make the birthday message a lot more meaningful and fun. Also, if you do not write a lot of text and just need to say “I Love You,” use an instant message program instead. These programs can come in handy when you are not sure exactly what to say or when you want to include graphics. And if the person you are sending the birthday greeting to is someone who does not read an instant message, it will still be a funny and thoughtful gift.
So how do you go about writing a funny happy birthday message? You can choose from just about any kind of greeting card you like. A birthday card with the name and birth date printed in the front is always a good idea. It gives your recipient a quick look at who you are and what you are doing.
To add some personal message, write the greeting in small letters inside of the envelope. It could be something like “To: John Smith, Happy Birthday.” When they open the envelope, the message will be written all over their faces.
Birthday cards with a favorite picture or photo are a great idea. You can print out several pictures of yourself from when you were younger or just some of your most recent photos. and include those in your card, too. If you have pictures you like, get some cute quotes and put them underneath the picture.
One of the best things you can do is to write a funny greeting inside a birthday greeting, but not have a card in the first place. Use an envelope instead. Then you just have to slip it into a nice colorful birthday present and send the birthday present in the mail. This can be done in two ways.
You can give the birthday person a birthday present that is related to the reason you wrote the birthday message. For example, if you wrote “Happy Birthday for Xmas,” you could give a DVD with a short movie on Christmas. Or you could give them a bottle of wine or an interesting cookbook, whatever you feel like.
You can also write “Happy Birthday wishes” inside the envelope. You could write a cute poem or a couple lines of lyrics from a song you like. It doesn't have to be anything too complicated or overly poetic, just a few lines of thought and you're ready to send out the greeting card.
Gifts of any sort are always appreciated. So, if you're not too comfortable in writing cards or finding the appropriate greeting cards, you can always go the other route and send them in the mail.
Another great thing about Instant Messaging services is that you can have your recipient email you the greeting message so you don't have to write it out. and they'll receive the greeting card automatically. That can be a lot easier than trying to remember a bunch of words to say in front of the computer.
Sending out birthday greeting cards in the mail is a great idea and I guarantee you'll have the best birthday ever. Just make sure you take your time and send a few and they will make it back to you with a smile!
